Dr. Shyamal Kumar Pabi

Dr. Shyamal Kumar Pabi is currently Professor and Dean of Engineering and Technology of the Adamas University, West Bengal.
Prof. Pabi was Elected as the President of the Material Sciences Section of the Indian Science Congress Association (1997-98). He was awarded MRSI Medal of 2001 by the Materials Research Society of India, and Binani Gold Medal by Indian Institute of Metals in 1999. Prof. Pabi was a Council Member of the Indian Institute of Metals from 2008 to 2010.On invitation from the Indian Institute of Metals, he has recently delivered the prestigious Award Lecture –“Dr. Daya Swarup Memorial Lecture, 2017”- on the National Metallurgists’ Day of IIM in 2017. He was the Chairman of the 63rd Annual Technical Meeting of the Indian Institute of Metals, 2009.
He was awarded coveted Alexander van Humboldt Fellowship to work as a Guest Scientist at the University of Saarlandes, (June, 1984 - December 1985).and at Univ. of Ulm ( May-July, 1998), Germany. He has served as a Guest Scientist at the University of Saarlandes, Germany from Aug.- Dec.2000. Prof. Pabi has also served in the prestigious post of Visiting Professor in the School of Materials Science and Engineering (as the first Indian) at the Seoul National University, South Korea from Sept. 2002 to July, 2003.

Dr. Tridib Chakraborti was a Professor and Ex-Head of the Department of International Relations, Jadavpur University, Kolkata. He did his B.A, M.A, M. Phil and Ph.D from the Department of International Relations, Jadavpur University. He is an expert of South, Southeast Asian and Asia Pacific affairs, Indian Political Thought and Foreign Policy and Strategic Studies. Prof. Probir Kumar Gupta

Professor Probir Kumar Gupta is the Dean of the School of Management and the School of Commerce and Economics at Adamas University, Barasat since June 2016.
Prior to this assignment, he was the Dean of the Vinod Gupta School of Management, and the founder Head of the Rajiv Gandhi School of Intellectual Property Law, both at IIT Kharagpur. During his tenure at IIT he served as the Chairman of the Sub-committee for Higher Management Education in the Ministry of HRD, and had undertaken study tours to Haas School of Management, Berkeley, University of California, Los Angeles, University of Nebraska, Omaha and the University of Washington, School of Law.
His extensive corporate career includes such positions as the Secretary of the Bengal Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Managing Director of Webel Nicco, Executive Director of Nicco Park and Resorts, Vice President of FAL Industies, the Indo-Swedish Company which with Facit, Ericssons and Electrolux, of Sweden introduced manufacture of electronic typewriters, vacuum cleaners and other white goods, and telecom instruments into India.
He has also worked asof General Manager Samuel Osborne Steels in UK and Singapore, and in the Machinery Building Division of Metal Box India during his early working days.
He graduated from IIT Kharagpur in Mechanical Engineering, and was the first recipient of the B C ROY Gold MEDAL of the Institute.
Dr. A K Mukherjee

Completing B.Sc. Hons.In Botany from Presidency College, Calcutta, Prof. Mukherjee did his M.Sc. In Botany and Ph.D. in Plant Biochemistry from Burdwan University. Started his teaching career in Burdwan University Medical College in the year 1969 and served for more than five years. Joined the Burdwan University Post Graduate Botany Department in 1974 and continued upto retirement on August 2005. In the same year, he joined Bengal College of Engineering and Technology as Professor of Biotechnology and Dean (Academic), Durgapur.
He was a short time visiting Professor in twelve National Universities from time to time. He was ranked in the First position in “Radiological Safety Officer” course organized by Bhaba Atomic Research Center. Undertook training in HPLC technique organized by M/S Waters at Vienna and received ‘Best Performer’ award.
Obtaining NRC Post-doc fellowship from Canada, spent more than one year in teaching & research in University of Toronto. While working with Professor A. Guha,he first time cloned “Biotin’ gene in fast plasmid replicating E. Coli. During 1979, received the most prestigious “Muscular Dystrophy Association” Fellowship from USA and joined Harvard Medical School for both teaching and research. He had a most fruitful time when he worked with Profr. A. Guha and two Nobel Lauriates – Professor David Baltimore & Professor Walter Gilbert when he reported first time that a single-stranded 4S RNA could inhibit protein synthesis. The sample was taken by Professor Sidney Altman and proved that as Enzyme. Later, he received Nobel Prize jointly with Professor Cech for the work on ‘Ribozyme’
Dr. Rajat Ray

Dr. Rajat Ray, an alumnus of Jadavpur University from where he obtained his Graduation, Post-Graduation and Doctoral degrees, has joined Adamas University as a Professor in the Department of Pharmaceutical Technology in April 2016. Prof. Ray is a recognized Pharmaceutical Scientist and Academic Administrator with combined 36+ years’ experience. He took a training in Advanced Pharmaceutical Technology at the University of Ghent Belgium on a Belgian Government scholarship. Skilled at teaching Pharmaceutics/Pharmaceutical Engineering and giving leadership to grow institutes offering courses in Pharmacy, Prof Ray carries out research on Development of Multi-Unit Drug Delivery System with modified biopolymer. He has authored and co-authored number of research articles published in national and international journal of repute. Professor Ray has taught in several institutes in Odisha, Rajasthan and West Bengal. He served as Vice- Principal in a Institute in Odisha and as an Academic Administrator in Visva Bharati, Santiniketan. He has been acting as an external examiner for Jadavpur University for the last 26 years and for institutes under Maulana Abdul Kalam Azad University of Technology, West Bengal for the last 10 years.
Dr. Debajyoti Mukhopadhyay

Dr. Debajyoti Mukhopadhyay is currently the Dean, School of Professional Studies and Distinguished Professor, School of Management at ADAMAS University. He has worked earlier in IT industry for nineteen years, including the well-known Bell Communications Research in the USA, and in academia for sixteen years, including being the Dean (R&D) of Maharashtra Institute of Technology in Pune, India. He has published about 185 research papers, three patents and guided several PhD scholars in Computer Science & Engineering. Dr.Mukhopadhyay has worked earlier in the corporate world holding top level positions, such as of the President & CEO, Director and General Manger and managed very large number of professionals managing multiple off-shore projects from India. Dr.Mukhopadhyay has been elected as the Distinguished Speaker of the Computer Society of India. He had held Visiting Positions at: Chonbuk National University (South Korea), George Mason University (USA), Monarch Business School (Switzerland), Thapar University (India) and Curtin University (Australia).
