Dr. Rajat Ray

Subject : Pharmacy

Dr. Rajat Ray, an alumnus of Jadavpur University from where he obtained his Graduation, Post-Graduation and Doctoral degrees, has joined Adamas University as a Professor in the Department of Pharmaceutical Technology in April 2016. Prof. Ray is a recognized Pharmaceutical Scientist and Academic Administrator with combined 36+ years’ experience. He took a training in Advanced Pharmaceutical Technology at the University of Ghent Belgium on a Belgian Government scholarship. Skilled at teaching Pharmaceutics/Pharmaceutical Engineering and giving leadership to grow institutes offering courses in Pharmacy, Prof Ray carries out research on Development of Multi-Unit Drug Delivery System with modified biopolymer. He has authored and co-authored number of research articles published in national and international journal of repute. Professor Ray has taught in several institutes in Odisha, Rajasthan and West Bengal. He served as Vice- Principal in a Institute in Odisha and as an Academic Administrator in Visva Bharati, Santiniketan. He has been acting as an external examiner for Jadavpur University for the last 26 years and for institutes under Maulana Abdul Kalam Azad University of Technology, West Bengal for the last 10 years.


Dr. Sagar Naskar

Subject : Pharmacy

Dr. Sagar Naskar has obtained his Masters and Doctoral degree from the Department of Pharmaceutical Technology, Jadavpur University. He has 7 years of teaching and 5 years of research experience in the field of Pharmaceutical Technology. Dr.Naskar has authored four books entitled ‘MCQs in Pharmacy for GPAT’, ‘Basic Research in Free Radicals and its Scavengers’, ‘Conceptual Pharmacy’ and ‘A Handbook of Practical Pharmaceutical Chemistry’. He has more than 22 articles to his credit in National and International journals of repute. Dr. Naskar has already published 30 scientific abstract and presented his research work in Conference. Dr. Naskar is a life member of several scientific societies such as APTI, Institution of Chemists etc. With his keen ability to conduct research in the field of natural product research as well as synthetic chemistry, Dr. Naskar will positively be favorable to the growth of Adamas University and will add great value to its learning process.


Dr. Anup Kumar Das

Subject : Pharmacy

With over 6 years of cumulative research and industrial experience, Dr. Anup Kumar Das has joined Adamas University as Assistant Professor in the Department of Pharmaceutical Technology. Dr. Das completed his PhD (2015) from Department of Pharmaceutical Technology, Jadavpur University, Kolkata under a CSIR sponsored project. Dr. Das core area of research has been developing “Cleaner and Greener” extraction methodologies for bioactive extraction using Chemo metric tools to achieve process intensification in botanical extraction. Dr. Das is a Gold medalist (B. Pharm) and have qualified Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (IIT , Madras, India,2007) and GRE (2010) apart from filling a national patent and author of peered reviewed international research journals. All these were recognized by UGC, India and have nominated him for the prestigious Commonwealth Split Site Doctoral Scholarship-2014 tenable in UK. Before joining Adamas University Dr. Das was working as a R&D scientist in a phyto-nutraceutical based company situated at Daman and Diu.


Dr. Partha Roy

Subject : Pharmacy

Dr. Partha Roy completed his Ph.D. from Department of Chemical Technology, University of Calcutta. He was awarded with Senior Research Fellowship from Indian Council of Medical Research, Govt. of India for pursuing his Ph.D. After completion of M. Pharm, Dr. Roy worked as Pharmaceutics faculty in a post-graduate pharmacy institution in India. On completion of his Ph.D. he was awarded with Research Associateship from Council of Scientific and Industrial Research, Govt. of India. He then served as a faculty in University Malaysia Pahang, Malaysia. Dr. Roy research focuses on plant-bioactive nanomedicine development for drug induced liver dysfunctions, cancer, leishmaniasis and diabetes. Currently he is experimenting with carbon nanomaterials obtained by waste to wealth approach as newer probes for cell-imaging. He has several publications in peer reviewed journals and conferences. Dr. Roy has an ambition to strive for excellence in pharmaceutical education and research in the dynamic multidisciplinary platform of Adamas University.


Mr. Biswajit Das

Subject : Pharmacy

Mr. Biswajit Das has graduated and post- graduated from Jadavpur University, Kolkata-700032, West Bengal in 2007 and 2009 respectively with first class. Then he worked as assistant professor in various pharmacy colleges. He guided some M. Pharm and B. Pharm students while he was in teaching. He carried out excellent research work in the field of pharmacy and published in some reputed national and international journals. 


Mr. Subhasis Chakrabarty

Subject : Pharmacy

Designation: Assistant Professor

Mr. Subhasis Chakrabarty has graduated (B Pharm) and post- graduated (M Pharm: Specialization: Pharmaceutics) from Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology ( MAKAUT) formerly known as WBUT,  in 2011 and 2014 respectively with first class.  He has three years of Industry/ Research experience. He was awarded with Junior Research Fellowship from Department of Science and Technology (SERB), Government of India. He is an avid researcher in the field of pharmaceutical technology and is credited with high impact publications. Mr Chakrabarty aims to contribute significantly to both academics and research in the conducive environment of Adamas University.


Professor Arup Mukherjee

Subject : Pharmacy

Professor Arup Mukherjee is an emeritus professor in the School of Pharmaceutical Technology,  Adamas University, Kolkata. He has more than 29 years of teaching and research guiding experience in different Universities in India and abroad.  Professor Mukherjee specializes in Medicinal Chemistry, Molecular modelling, Nanomedicines and Targeted drug delivery areas. He has guided twenty one Ph.D. scholars so far. He is a fellow of Royal Society of Chemistry, UK.
