Dr. Palashpriya Das

Dr. Palashpriya Das, alumnus of IIT Kharagpur; holds Bachelor of Science (Microbiology) from University of Calcutta. In pursuit of intellectual fulfillment she pursued double Masters -Master of Science (Microbiology) from University of Calcutta and M.Tech. in Biotechnology from Jadavpur University. She was awarded with Ph.D. from the Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur (IIT-KGP) in 2009 in the domain of Applied Microbiology.
Dr. Rajib Sengupta
Subject : Biochemistry
Dr. Rajib Sengupta has nine years of teaching & 16 years of research experience including eight years of post doctorate research experience. He has published 20 International papers and presented scientific papers in 15 international and national Conferences/Seminar/Workshops. He has supervised many post-graduate and doctoral student. He persuaded his postdoctoral research at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (Pittsburgh, PA) and the Karolinska Institute (Stockholm, Sweden). His research is focused on the study of thioredoxin and glutaredoxin mediated redox regulations of Cancer and Parkinson's Diseases.
Dr. Arpan Manna

Dr. Arpan Manna had graduated with Hon’s in Chemistry from Scottish Church College, Kolkata. He had completed his Post Graduation in Chemistry with specialisation in Physical Chemistry from Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi. After qualifying prestigious CSIR-National Eligibility Test, he had moved to CSIR-National Chemical Laboratory, Pune for carrying out doctoral research studies in the field of Physico-organic Chemistry and Green Chemistry under the supervision of Dr. Anil Kumar, J C Bose National Fellow and FNA. Part of his doctoral research especially Fluorescence and LASER spectroscopic studies had been carried out in Radiation and Photochemistry Division, BARC, Mumbai under the guidance of Prof. Haridas Pal, Outstanding Scientist and FNASc. Following the submission of PhD thesis, he had worked as a senior project assistant in a DST sponsored project on Green Chemistry Following the award of PhD degree in Chemistry in 2015, he had moved to Republic of Korea to carry out Post-Doctoral Research studies in field of Photochemistry and LASER Spectroscopy under the guidance of Prof. Manho Lim in Pusan National University, Busan.
His research interest focused on the following subjects viz. Physico-organic Chemistry; Solution Chemistry; Water–promoted organic reactions; Ionic Liquids synthesis and application in reactions; Ultrafast –fluorescence spectroscopic studies of fast reactions; Transient absorption studies of bio-physical reactions. He has published 10 research papers in international peer reviewed journals till date.
Dr Arpan Manna has been awarded post-doctoral fellowship of National Research Foundation of Korea to work as a post doctoral research scholar in Pusan National University, Busan, Republic of Korea from May,2015. He has won best poster presentation award at Diamond Jubilee Symposium on Recent Trends in Chemistry event organized by Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur from 21-22 October, 2011. He had also won best poster presentation award at “National Science Day” celebration event organized by National Chemical Laboratory, Pune from 27-28 February 2012. Dr. Manna has qualified National Eligibility Test (JRF-NET) conducted jointly by University Grants Commission and Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), New Delhi, India in Chemical Sciences, 2008. He has also qualified Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) conducted by Indian Institute of Technology and Indian Institute of Science, 2009.
Dr. Rudra Prasad Saha

A distinguished scholar, with 14+ years of experience in teaching and research, Dr. Rudra Prasad Saha has joined Adamas University as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Biotechnology. Dr. Saha completed his comprehensive post-doctoral research on host-virus relationships at the University of Texas at Austin, USA and San Diego State University, USA after earning his Ph.D. in Biochemistry from Bose Institute (Jadavpur University), Kolkata. Dr. Saha has published several research papers in high impact international journals and presented his work in a number of national and international conferences around the world. Dr. Saha's current research interests include but not limited to protein-protein and protein-nucleic acid interactions, metal homeostasis in bacteria and metallo-regulation of transcription, bacteriophage-host interactions and development of a phage-based gene therapy system. Through his outstanding academic, leadership and interpersonal skills combined with his inimitable teaching style, Dr. Saha looks forward to encourage a competitive spirit among Adamas University students which will foster a positive and healthy campus atmosphere along with equipping students with the right skills to meet future challenges. Dr. Arindam Mitra

With over 14 years of cumulative teaching and research experience, Dr.Arindam Mitra joined as Assistant Professor in the Department of Microbiology under School of Science, Adamas University. Dr.Mitra received B. Pharm and M.Tech in Biotechnology from Jadavpur University, West Bengal, India and earned his Ph.D. from University of Maryland, College Park, USA in 2008. His doctoral work focused on a model two-component regulatory system in Escherichia coli and analyzed its role in virulence. Subsequently, Dr.Mitra did his postdoctoral research work on vaccine development at the Arizona State University, USA from 2008 to 2012. Dr Mitra’s research interests are bacterial pathogenesis, biofilms and development of veterinary vaccines. Dr.Mitra was previously associated with School of Chemical and Biotechnology, SASTRA University, Tamil Nadu as Senior Assistant Professor for two years. Dr.Mitra received numerous awards such as American Society for Microbiology Science Teaching Fellow 2015-16, Distinguished Faculty Award at Venus International Faculty Awards in 2016, Academic Award for Vaccine Development at International Life Sciences Awards 2016 and Microbiology Society Champion for the year 2016-17. Dr.Mitra also served as Academic coordinator for the School of Science at Adamas University in 2015-16. Dr.Mitra is currently acting as reviewer for several international journals such as Vaccine, Food Research International and Recent Patents on Biotechnology.
