Dr. Aparna Vajpayee

Subject : Psychology

Professor (Dr.) Aparna Vajpayee is Academic Co-ordinator of the School of Social Sciences and Liberal Arts. She teaches Psychology and HR related subjects at Psychology Department and Management Department of Adamas University, Kolkata since August, 2015. She has done post-doctoral research focuses on the foundations of cognition, including spatial cognition, schooling and cognition, cognition and schematization of language (Research with University of Geneva, Switzerland). In 2017, she has also received an award of best research paper from international conference of University of Rajasthan, Jaipur.

She is also working as a professional soft skill and business communication trainer and worked in ‘Centre for Organization Development’ (COD, Hyderabad), which is a specialized institute for corporate training. Soft skill is associated with a person’s cluster of personality traits, social graces, communication, language personal habits, friendliness and optimism which are occupational requirement for a job and many other successful managerial activities. Hence, as being the specialties in them She has conducted many soft skill training program for companies like; NMDC, Tata Project Ltd, SEMENS, Vijay Electricals, BHEL ,BEl

Area of Research:

In her research she has focuses on the foundations of cognition, including spatial cognition, schooling and cognition, cognition and schematization of language (Research with University of Geneva, Switzerland). Rural and tribal India, psychology of poverty and education were also the domains of her research interest.

 

Dr. Sanchita Ghosh

Subject : Psychology

Designation: Assistant Professor

Dr. Sanchita  Ghosh  is Assistant Professor of the School of Social Sciences . She teaches Psychology at Psychology Department of Adamas University, Kolkata since June, 2017. She has done doctoral research focuses on the psychological factors of junior reality television show performers (Department of Psychology, University of Calcutta).

She has worked as a guest faculty in different Colleges and University, namely, West Bengal State University, Muralidhar Girls’ College, Basanti Devi College, Hiralal Mazumder College for Women and also Worked as a Consultant Psychologist for the last 10 years.

Area of Research:

In her research she focuses on the psychological factors and parental characteristics of junior reality television show performers. Also she has worked in the following areas: emerging trends of personality disorders in psychiatric outpatient department of Kolkata metropolis, personality factors of classical dancers, Aggressive orientation and psychiatric morbidity of Bengali Hindus and Muslims.

 

Ms. Debarati Das

Subject : Psychology

Designation: Assistant Professor

Ms. Debarati Das has done her Post Graduation and M.Phil in clinical Psychology from University of Calcutta. She has Qualified West Bengal State Eligibility Test (SET), in the year 2011. Previously, she was associated with Gokhale Memorial Girls’ College as a Whole-Time Substitute Teacher (in FDP) from May 2015 to May 2017. She was also associated with National Institute for the Mentally Handicapped (NIMH), Kolkata, as a Guest Lecturer from July 2014 to February 2015.She also worked as a Consultant Clinical Psychologist from November 2010-April 2015.She has Worked as a Research Associate ( in research project funded by ICSSR) in Department of Psychology, University of Calcutta, from September 2012 to September 2013.She was associated as a Guest Lecturer &Clinical internship supervisor in  Department of Psychology, West Bengal State University, Barasat, West Bengal, from February 2010 to May 2013. She also worked as a Course Coordinator (In   PG Diploma Course) in Department of Psychology, University of Calcutta, Kolkata, West Bengam, in session 2010-2011.
