About the Program

The Master of Business Administration (Dual Specialization) program aims to transfer and prepare core management ideas. Three specializations are offered viz. Finance, Marketing, and Human Resource Management. Students can opt for any two of them. The program provides quantitative and analytical skills that enable students to succeed in a variety of business activities. The program builds research design abilities enhanced by research and innovative learning education, and develops students’ ability to acquire academic and practical insights into this area. MBA students are hired in both the corporate and public sectors after completion of this program.

About the Program:

The Master of Commerce is a 2-years Postgraduate Degree program offered by the department. The program carries UGC approved CBCS syllabus. There are total 4 semesters which are distributed as 2 semesters per year. In Semesters 3 and 4, students are allowed to take their choice courses out of the offered courses. The program grooms the student with masterly skills in the area of Accountancy, Management Accountancy and Finance and also sets them towards a teaching and research career in the domain of Commerce. It also provides an excellent grounding for all professional studies as well as creates impetus for research. There aren’t enough business analytics experts to manage and complete data analytics initiatives and ensure that big data and analytics challenges are met. The program, which is developed in congruence with the industry need, aims to close the skills gap by giving the market access to a skilled workforce. With the advent of fourth industrial revolution along with pervasiveness of big data and machine learning, there is a huge dependence of today’s industries on administration, governance and analysis of large volumes of both structured and unstructured data. Internship:

Intensive on the job training in form of internship (or Summer Training) at the end of Sem-2 (or year 1)

A report based on the summer training shall be submitted within four weeks from the commencement of the third semester.

 

Project Work:

Unlike internship, the project work must be conducted on a topic chosen from the specialization areas in collaboration with different industry/ organizations.

The students must undertake a Live Project worth 8 credits during the IV semester . The student is also required to submit a detailed report to the school/university and present the work to the faculty panel for evaluation/assessment

About the Program:

India is poised to see a rapid growth in the area of logistics and supply chain, especially as it integrates with the global supply chains. Currently, 80% of the sector is unorganised and there is a rapid movement towards formalisation of the sector. This is accentuated by the entry of multi-national companies into this strategically important area. However, there is dearth of skilled and knowledgeable professionals in this area. This course has been drawn up with support from the industry and has been designed to provide the skills which are in demand in order to perform well in this profession.

This is a two year, full time program offering an MBA in Logistics and Supply Chain Management course. This is a domain specific course which concentrates on preparing the students to enter the Supply Chain Management industry. The second year of the program is devoted to on-the-job training to make the students fully integrated with industry requirements. After completion, the students are thus ready to be immediately be absorbed by the industry

PO1: Holistic overview on Trade and Commerce – Students will acquaint with the different facets of Trade and Commerce.

PO2: Expertise in Accounting and Management Accounting – Students will acquire expertise on Accounting and Management Accounting.

PO3: Specific Trade and Commerce practices – Students will develop knowledge on specific Trade and Commerce practices including Taxation, Auditing, Law, BFSI, Entrepreneurship and Management.

PO4: Knowledge on BIFS – Students will acquire specialised knowledge to the students on various facets of Accounting and Management Accounting or Marketing or Capital Markets.

M.Sc. (Economics)

About the Program

The M.Sc. in Economics is a two-year postgraduate program having specialization tracks in applied econometrics, public policy and banking & finance. The Program aims to provide rigorous training in modern economic theories and techniques with a special emphasis on evaluating the policy issues. The graduates of M.Sc. program will gain skills required for advanced research in variety of domains in economics and will have strong grasp over collecting, collating, analyzing data and providing meaningful insights form the analysis. This is supplemented by series of courses based on advanced tools and techniques for data analysis aided by different software (s) and a dedicated yearlong master dissertation. The graduates will gain lifelong learning skills during the program such as leadership and teamwork and become industry ready with cutting edge knowledge.

Eligibility Criteria
Under Graduate degree in economics or applied economics (honours or major) from any recognised university in India or abroad with minimum 50% marks in aggregate. Adamas University conducts AUAT for M.Sc. in Economics admission. Selected candidates will be called to the campus for further admission rounds such as personal interview and group discussion.

The Department of Economics and School of Business and Economics is supported by a Career Development Centre (CDC) of Adamas University and a dedicated committee of faculty members within the department for placement and internship related activities. The two jointly not only provides support in placements and internships for the students but also orient the students to get industry ready.
