I am currently a Professor and HoD at CSE Department of Adamas University. I was the Principal (Director) and Professor at Globsyn Business School, Kolkata, India from Dec, 2017-Aug 2018. I was a Professor at School of Management at Adamas University for a brief period during Nov 2017. Previous to this position I worked as a Senior Manager IBM India from Oct 2002 to Oct 2017. I was on sabbatical from IBM India (Jan 2003-Mar 2005), and visited UNSW, Sydney as a visiting Professor (2003-2004) and Royal Institute of Technology, Stockholm as Senior Researcher (2004-2005). Earlier to that, I was Senior and Principal Consultant at PwC India from May 1995 to Jun 1999 and Jul 1999 to Sep 2002 respectively. From 1983 to
1995, I was with the Department of ETCE, Jadavpur University, Kolkata, India in research and teaching position. I have over 35 years of experience in leading and managing teams and projects with International/National Funded R&D programs and with Domestic/International Clients. This last thirty-five years of my research, teaching and management consulting has covered communication network engineering, distributed systems, business consulting and Societal Engineering. My leadership roles and
consulting/managing experiences in different business consulting projects span across IT consulting in sales and engagement, IT Global Delivery, IT strategy consulting, Software Quality Management. My teaching
covered basic and advance UG, PG and Graduate courses in CSE over fifteen years out of last thirty-five years.
I have around 175 published papers in journals and conference proceedings of international repute, four

I have the collaboration with different research labs/institutes across continents: IBM Watson Lab, IBM Zurich Lab, IBM India Research Lab, Colleges of Nanoscale Science and Engineering -SUNY Polytechnic Institute, USA, and ETCE Department of Jadavpur University, Calcutta and MIS of Indian Institute of Management Calcutta (IIMC).
I am Ph. D in Computer Science and Engineering from Jadavpur University Kolkata, India. I am a Senior Member of IEEE Communications Society and member of ACM. I am currently serving 1913 WG on IEEE Standard on Software-Defined Quantum Communication (SDQC). I served as an
active member of 1906.1 IEEE Standard WG on Nano networking, the emerging field of research from 2012-2015. I was the founder Vice-Chairman of IEEE Communication Society of Kolkata Chapter India. I
was one of experts of Program Analysis Task Force (PATF) of IEEE Communication Society, Head Quarter, New York for developing Wireless Communication Network Course during 2007-2010.
