The Department of History, School of Liberal Arts and Culture Studies, Adamas University, Kolkata, in collaboration with the Netaji Institute for Asian Studies, Kolkata (India), is pleased to host a One-Day Workshop on ‘Methods and Methodology in Historical Studies’ on 30th May 2025, from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM, at AIT Video Conference Room, Adamas University, Kolkata.

This workshop aims to provide participants—particularly research scholars and postgraduate students—with a foundational and practical understanding of research methods and methodologies across disciplines, with a special emphasis on the humanities and social sciences. The sessions will explore various research approaches, data collection techniques, theoretical frameworks, and ethical considerations integral to academic research.

By bringing together experienced scholars and emerging researchers, the workshop seeks to foster a critical dialogue on how to design, execute, and present scholarly research effectively. Participants will have the opportunity to engage in interactive sessions, seek expert guidance, and deepen their understanding of the evolving landscape of research in the 21st century.

Adamas University, under the visionary initiative of Prof. (Dr.) Shauli Mukherjee, Professor and Dean- School of Education and Dean- International Relations—is honoured to host a distinguished delegation of 80 educational professionals from Bhutan, including School Librarians and School Laboratory Assistants.

The school professionals are participating in parallel, weeklong residential training programmes titled “Laboratory Excellence in Education – Equip, Evolve, Empower: Advancing Laboratory Practices” and “Library Innovation and Knowledge Management – Empower, Digitize, Transform: Enhancing 21st Century Library Practices.”

Building on the foundation of a longstanding international collaboration between Adamas University and educational institutions of Bhutan, this initiative aims to promote academic excellence through interactive sessions, laboratory sessions, hands-on workshops, and case studies focused on integrating technology and artificial intelligence in Laboratory and Library Practices.

Scheduled from 26th to 30th May 2025, the programme is being hosted and organized by Adamas University. The participating professionals have been nominated by the Ministry of Education and Skills Development, Royal Government of Bhutan, in recognition of their commitment to shaping the future of education in the region.

Day 4 of the Residential Training Programme on Health and Physical Education for HPE teachers from Bhutan, a project under the Ministry of Education and Skills Development, Royal Government of Bhutan was packed with learning, reflection, and expert interaction. The day began with a visit to Adamas International School, offering insights into diverse approaches to holistic education.

The focus of the day was on personal and professional growth. Participants attended an engaging session on effective communication strategies tailored for Health and Physical Education teachers, followed by an outdoor workshop designed to help assess and understand individual physical fitness levels. The day concluded with an enriching interactive session featuring special guests—Mr. Anirban Aditya, Chairman of Aditya Group and Mr. Ayan Banerjee, CEO of Shrachi Sports—who shared valuable industry perspectives on the evolving landscape of sports and wellness. The programme continues to be guided by Prof. (Dr.) Shauli Mukherjee, Dean – School of Education and Dean – International Relations, whose visionary leadership remains central to its impact.

A major highlight was the gym-based session on strength and conditioning, coupled with a deep dive into the science of sports training and techniques to achieve peak performance. The day concluded on a high note with an interactive session hosted by the School of Education, Adamas University—featuring music, bonding games, and warm conversations around future academic collaborations, creating a memorable space for connection and exchange. The day began with sessions on the power of visualization for stress management and the growing impact of artificial intelligence in transforming modern sports.

An interactive session with students of Adamas University added a personal touch to the day, as participants heard reflections from students who had visited Bhutan, creating a vibrant space for cultural exchange and shared experiences. The highlight was a yoga-based workshop on holistic wellness, promoting balance and mindful living. The programme is being steered by Prof. (Dr.) Shauli Mukherjee, Dean – School of Education and Dean – International Relations, whose visionary leadership is instrumental in driving its purpose and impact.

The weeklong Residential Training Programme on Health and Physical Education for teachers from Bhutan began today on 21st April 2025 at Adamas Knowledge City, Kolkata. The participating educators from Bhutan have been nominated by the Ministry of Education and Skills Development, Royal Government of Bhutan, in recognition of their dedication to advancing the future of education in the region. The inaugural session, Prarambh, was formally inaugurated by H.E. Tashi Penjore, Hon’ble Consul General of Bhutan in Kolkata, whose inspiring address marked a significant moment in fostering cross-border educational collaboration. The inaugural session was graced by Prof. (Dr.) Suranjan Das, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor of Adamas University whose presence and address set a meaningful tone for the programme. Led by Prof. (Dr.) Shauli Mukherjee, Dean – School of Education and Dean – International Relations, the day featured interactive sessions exploring the evolving role of sports management, the integration of emerging technologies in physical education, and a case-study based activity on robotics and physical education, followed by a guided tour of the Adamas Knowledge City campus.

The International Relations Office of Adamas University is delighted to share that 10 students from the School of Education, School of Engineering and Technology, School of Life Science and Biotechnology, and School of Business participated in the International Reciprocal Cultural Immersion Program involving Staff and Student Exchange at Paro College of Education, Royal University of Bhutan, from 21st to 30th March 2025.

Led by Prof. (Dr.) Shauli Mukherjee, Professor and Dean–School of Education and Dean–International Relations, the program offered a rich blend of academic exchange and cultural exploration. Participants engaged in lectures on Bhutan’s philosophy of Gross National Happiness, reflective sessions, and visits to historic and spiritual landmarks—gaining insights into holistic education and wellbeing.

Kozlov, Consul General of the Russian Federation in Kolkata, along with Ms. Ekaterina Tyurina, Vice Consul- Consulate General of the Russian Federation in Kolkata on 3rd April 2025, in a significant initiative led by Mr. Sumit Dasgupta, Director – Industry Promotion and Collaboration, Chancellor’s Office. Their visit provided an opportunity for meaningful discussions on strengthening international partnerships.

The esteemed guests engaged in a meaningful discussion with Hon’ble Chancellor Adamas University, Prof. (Dr.) Samit Ray, the Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor Adamas University, Prof. (Dr.) Suranjan Das , and Prof. (Dr.) Shauli Mukherjee, Professor and Dean – School of Education, and Dean – International Relations. The discussions focused on exploring future collaborations with Russian universities and industries.
