International Relations Office of Adamas University is thrilled to share that recently our students, faculty and staff members of Adamas University successfully participated in the Mandarin Language Learning and Cultural Immersion Program at Yuan Ze University, Taiwan from 22 August 2024 to 31st August, 2024.
The program provided participants with a unique opportunity to build Mandarin language skills while experiencing Taiwan’s rich culture firsthand. Led by Prof. (Dr.) Shauli Mukherjee, Professor and Dean, School of Education & Dean, International Relations, this initiative offered an invaluable platform for intensive language learning, fostering cross-cultural exchange and deepening participants’ understanding of Taiwanese traditions and lifestyle.
It has been a very special moment when Prof. (Dr.) Shauli Mukherjee gave away the prestigious certificate for the program to the students, faculty and staff members of Adamas University.

We were honored to host a masterclass by Prof. Sudip Chakraborty, ASN-MIUR Full Professor of Chemical Engineering at the University della Calabria. Prof. Chakraborty delivered an insightful session on “Membranes for a Sustainable Environment: From Science to Society,” exploring innovative solutions for global environmental challenges.
Accompanied by his postdoctoral student, Ms. VM Amiz, a specialist in Soil Science, Prof. Chakraborty shared valuable research findings with our academic community. Their visit included insightful sessions and productive meetings with the university’s leadership, paving the way for exciting opportunities in collaboration and exchange.

We were privileged to welcome distinguished representatives from four prestigious U.S. universities: the University of Arizona, Washington State University, the University of Bridgeport, and LeTourneau University, Texas.
The event featured insightful sessions for both Adamas University students and Adamas World School students, offering valuable opportunities for academic exchange and learning. The session was honored by the presence of Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Prof. (Dr.) Suranjan Das, who graced the occasion with his insightful remarks on strengthening global partnerships.

In a significant step towards global partnerships, Adamas University has recently signed an MoU with Skyline University College, Sharjah under the esteemed leadership of Prof. Shauli Mukherjee. Prof. Mukherjee visited Skyline University College in her recent visit to the UAE. She had productive meetings with Dr. Deepak Kalra, Deputy Vice Chancellor, Dr. Naseem Abidi, Professor and Dean of Business, Muhammad Rasheed Khalid, Head – Corporate Affairs & Outreach, and Dr. Abdul Salam Mohammed, Head of General Education of Skyline University College exploring avenues for future collaboration between the two Universities.
Additionally, Prof. Shauli Mukherjee delivered a Special Lecture to the Postgraduate Students of Skyline University College, Sharjah on an exclusive invite from the Skyline University College Management.

This event is an initiative of Prof. (Dr.) Shauli Mukherjee, Dean- School of Education and Dean- International Relations and provided an enriching platform for students to deepen their understanding of democratic values and governance.

Prof. (Dr.) Shauli Mukherjee, Professor and Dean- School of Education and Dean of International Relations recently led a highly successful academic expedition to Dubai, fostering new collaborative partnerships with several leading universities. During this expedition, Prof. Mukherjee held productive meetings with senior university officials from Ajman University, Rochester Institute of Technology, Heriot-Watt University, University of Wollongong, Bath Spa University, and University of Stirling.
These discussions cantered on a variety of potential collaborative ventures, including student exchange programs, faculty exchange programs, joint research initiatives, collaborative curriculum development, and opportunities for academic partnerships. The outcomes of these meetings were significant, with several agreements signed between Adamas University and the premier universities of Dubai, laying the groundwork for long-term academic and research collaboration.
Prof. Mukherjee’s efforts to establish and strengthen these international connections are expected to yield significant benefits for both students and faculty, providing a broader platform for cross-cultural learning, innovative research, and enhanced academic experiences. Adamas University had the privilege of hosting Mr. Luis Gallardo, Founder and President of the World Happiness Foundation, USA, on 14th August 2024, at the invitation of Prof. (Dr.) Shauli Mukherjee, Professor and Dean- School of Education and Dean of International Relations.
As a distinguished member of the International Advisory Board for the Centre of Excellence for Research on the Science of Happiness, recently established by Adamas University in association with Paro College of Education, Bhutan, Mr. Gallardo engaged in a meaningful discussion with the Hon’ble Chancellor Adamas University, Prof. (Dr.) Samit Ray.
The discussions emphasized the importance of integrating happiness into higher education, with a particular focus on potential collaborations with the World Happiness Foundation. Key areas of exploration included educating, training, and sensitizing students, staff, faculty, and leadership on the essential aspects of well-being, happiness, and mindfulness. The conversation also delved into the exciting prospect of developing Adamas Knowledge City as a pioneering academic city of happiness.
