We are thrilled to share that Prof. (Dr.) Shauli Mukherjee, Professor and Dean of the School of Education and Dean of International Relations, and Mr. Bajra Sikder, Vice President of the Chancellor’s Office & Brand Communication and Outreach Admission, proudly represented Adamas University at this prestigious event in Africa.

The 2024 ICEF Africa event brought together international education institutions with key educational partners and stakeholders from across the globe for a specialist networking experience. This year’s gathering in Kigali provided an incredible platform for expanding and diversifying the education community.

Our esteemed senior University leadership was a part of the Indian delegation in ICEF Africa Global Event and met and engaged with the Hon’ble Minister of Education, Gaspard Twagirayezu, and Hon’ble Minister of State for Education, Rwanda, Claudette Irere.  Discussions were highly productive, focusing on potential partnerships in the higher education sector.

Adamas University is proud to unveil the Centre of Excellence on the ‘Science of Happiness’ in collaboration with Paro College of Education, Bhutan. This first-of-its-kind center in eastern India will host a PhD program and training sessions on Mindfulness, Wellness, Happiness, and Psychological well-being. We are honored to work with distinguished experts from Bhutan who will serve on our Executive Committee and Board of Advisors. The goal is to promote a greater understanding and development of happiness and well-being.

Shaswata Kapat, a law student from Bengal, has clinched a prestigious position at a multinational company in Dubai, boasting an impressive annual salary package of 1 crore rupees. Joining the ranks of DIFX, a renowned MNC headquartered in Dubai, UAE, in July 2023, Kapat earned the distinction of the fastest promotion within the company.

Hailing from South 24 Parganas, where his parents currently reside, Kapat’s father practices as a homoeopathy doctor, while his mother is an artist and mathematics tutor.

Recently, Shaswata penned a letter to Prof. Suranjan Das, Vice Chancellor, Adamas University, to express his heartfelt gratitude, acknowledging the pivotal role played by the university’s faculty in shaping his academic journey.

Kapat’s meteoric rise stands as proof of the quality of education and guidance provided by Adamas University, solidifying its stature as a premier institution dedicated to nurturing bright minds and fostering excellence.

Prof. Dr. Samit Ray, Chancellor, Adamas University, emphasised the collective celebration of this remarkable milestone by the alma mater and peers, extending wishes for Kapat’s continued success in his future endeavours. He also mentioned the state government’s vision of promoting quality education in private colleges in the state.

Adamas University had the pleasure of welcoming Mr. John Bunter, a distinguished professional with extensive experience in international relations and commerce, to our campus on April 23rd, 2024. Mr. Bunter previously served as a Commercial Officer at the British High Commission in India, where he built substantial expertise over 8 years. He now leads the India operations at Cormack Consultancy Group, UK, focusing on business development and strategic planning in Pune, Maharashtra.

During his visit, Mr. Bunter met with our Hon’ble Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Samit Ray to discuss potential collaborations across various domains, joined by the Deans of our Schools. This interaction was a significant step towards fostering meaningful partnerships between Adamas University and UK universities, emphasizing sustainability and equity.

The event, organized by our International Relations Office, marks the beginning of a journey toward impactful collaborations that will benefit students and faculties alike.

We are delighted to host delegation from Unimarconi University, Italy – Mr. Arturo Lavalle, Director of Research & Development and International Relations, alongside Prof. Darina Chesheva and Prof. Leo Donato, at Adamas University campus on April 16th, 2024!

Amidst warm hospitality, a momentous Memorandum of Understanding was signed between Unimarconi University, Italy and Adamas University, Kolkata, India, marking the beginning of a promising partnership.

The signing ceremony was followed by an interaction where leaders from both institutions engaged in fruitful discussions, exploring avenues for collaboration across various domains. We were honoured to have the Deans of our Schools present, contributing to the exchange of ideas and visions for the future.

The initiative, led by our International Relations Office, has set the stage for dynamic collaborations between Unimarconi University and Adamas University.

Adamas University recently forged a collaboration agreement with Paro College of Education, Royal University of Bhutan, from April 17th to 19th, 2024. The agreement aims to facilitate immersive cultural and educational ventures and establish the first-of-its-kind Centre of Excellence on Happiness in the Eastern region of India, marking a unique initiative as a joint collaborative initiative between Adamas University and Paro College of Education Bhutan. 

During the visit, esteemed figures in education, Dr. Dorji Thinley, President, and Dr. Kezang Sherab, Dean of Research and Industrial Linkages from Paro College of Education, Royal University of Bhutan, engaged in discussions with Adamas University’s leadership, including Prof. (Dr.) Samit Ray, the Chancellor, and Prof. (Dr.) Suranjan Das, the Vice-Chancellor. The talks focused on potential areas of collaboration and academic exchanges, emphasizing joint research initiatives for knowledge advancement, and fostering innovation.

Further, a meeting between Bhutanese delegates and faculty members of Adamas University’s School of Education, led by Prof. (Dr.) Shauli Mukherjee, explored potential collaboration areas, including short-term internship opportunities for faculty members, scholars, and students.

An International Lecture Session held at the AU1 Auditorium shed light on Bhutan’s educational scenario, particularly their emphasis on Gross National Happiness. Dr. Thinley and Dr. Sherab emphasized the importance of happiness and cultural heritage, followed by a cultural program showcasing India’s rich diversity.

The visit concluded with the signing of the collaboration agreement between Adamas University and Paro College of Education, Royal University of Bhutan by Hon’ble Chancellor Prof.(Dr) Samit Ray, followed by a Leadership Meet chaired by Hon’ble Pro-Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Radha Tamal Goswami.

This collaboration underscores Adamas University’s commitment to fostering global partnerships and promoting holistic education.

We are pleased to announce Adamas University’s participation in the Indo-Russian Education Summit 2024, held in New Delhi. Over 50 Russian universities were in attendance at this esteemed event. Our Honourable Chancellor, Prof. (Dr.) Samit Ray, graced the summit with his presence and signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the Kuban State Agrarian University. This collaboration aims to enhance mutual cooperation and partnership in research and educational development initiatives.

In the presence of many distinguished guests and luminaries, including our Honourable Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Samit Ray, Prof. (Dr.) Shauli Mukherjee, Dean of International Relations at Adamas University, signed the prestigious pact with the revered National Research Tomsk State University of Russia. This ceremonious act not only signifies a union of academic minds but also marks the beginning of an era of collaborative research work between the two universities.

Yet again, Adamas University proudly reaffirmed its commitment to fostering global partnerships and advancing the frontiers of knowledge through collaborative research initiatives.
