Adamas University recently marked a significant milestone in its commitment to holistic education by once again organizing the Adamas Winter Camp 2023 inside its 120-acre lush green campus. This time the organization was across three different dates of November and December. These three editions of the educational extravaganza aimed at providing the high school students of West Bengal, with an unparalleled and immersive learning experience through emphasizing the cultivation of creativity, teamwork, and personal development.
Welcoming participants from a myriad of schools across the state, including esteemed institutions like Don Bosco, Kharagpur; Delhi Public School Kolkata, Kalyani Central Model School, Julien Day School, Rockvale Academy, Kalimpong, St. Anthony School, Kurseong, Methodist School, Dankuni, Kalyani Public School, Barasat, Agrasin Boy’s Howrah, The different Kendriya Vidyalayas only to name a few. The Winter Camp ensured a very diverse and enriching environment and a different learning experience for all attendees, which also included the key teachers from every school.
The camp was 2 day and 1-night stay at the Adamas Knowledge Campus. All the attendees stayed inside colourful tents to feel nature and be under the blue sky with a touch and feel of the green grass below their feet. Alongside competitions, the 14 clubs of the University, which offer varied culinary art development activities, held competitions and displayed the hidden skills of the students which thrilled every student ensuring a delightful “feel good factor” for each attendee. It also went beyond traditional academic pursuits, offering invaluable career guidance to the participants. From a dynamic Karate workshop to an electrifying dance faceoff within the bonfire at night, a soulful recitation competition, and a harmonious music and dance competition, the Winter Camp catered to a wide range of interests. Exceptional performers in these activities were duly recognized with certifications, adding an extra layer of accomplishment to their experience.
Prof (Dr.) Samit Ray, Chancellor of Adamas University, highlighted the Winter Camp as a testament to the institution’s unwavering dedication to holistic education. He emphasized the university’s commitment to nurturing not only academic excellence but also essential life skills, all within an enjoyable and engaging setting.
Mr. Chandrajit Mitra, Senior Vice President, Marketing & Sales, at Adamas University, who spearheads this initiative every year, expressed enthusiasm about the relaunch of the Winter Camp. He noted that the camp provided a unique platform for students’ personal development, offering a blend of learning and creativity. Mr. Mitra emphasized the university’s commitment to nurturing the thoughts by wide opening the next generation’s “mind window” while providing them with an environment where they can explore their potential and build essential skills for the future beyond books and classrooms. Every single student and teacher carried back a lifetime experience and promised to come back every year to the Adamas Winter Camp.
