Exciting Collaboration Update! Prof. (Dr.) Shauli Mukherjee and Mr. Subhayan Bhattacharjee visited Vietnam leading the “India-Vietnam Academic Expedition.” In a dynamic meeting, they discussed potential collaborations on exchange programs, joint research, and publication with the Vice-Rector and senior officials of the University of Economics and Business – Vietnam National University, Hanoi on 22nd January 2024.

Prof. (Dr.) Shauli Mukherjee and Mr. Subhayan Bhattacharjee visited Vietnam leading the “India-Vietnam Academic Expedition.” They had an effective meeting at the International School – Vietnam National University, Hanoi on 22nd January 2024, focusing on study abroad programs and faculty development. The Vice Rector and other senior officials of the respective university board presided over the discussions.

Prof. Mukherjee met with the University Senior officials and discussed Student & Staff mobility, Semester abroad programs and International Internship opportunities.

BRITISH UNIVERSITY VIETNAM

As a part of the “India-Vietnam Academic Expedition”, on 25th January 2024, Prof. (Dr.) Shauli Mukherjee visited the British University Vietnam. Adamas University has officially signed an agreement with the British University in Vietnam, fostering collaborative opportunities for academic excellence.

Adamas University is making waves on the global stage, extending its influence in South Asian Universities! Prof. (Dr.) Shauli Mukherjee, the dynamic Dean of the School of Education at Adamas University, took centre stage as an International Resource Speaker at Bulacan State Agricultural University (BASC), Philippines on February 1, 2024.

Prof. Mukherjee captivated the minds of faculties and students at BASC with an enlightening lecture on “Reimagining Education.” The intellectual exchange didn’t stop there! In a historic move, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was inked, fostering academic collaboration and partnerships between Adamas University and BASC.

The entire event unfolded in the esteemed presence of the BASC President, Vice President of Academic Affairs, and other senior officials. The knowledge-sharing didn’t stop within the walls of BASC; it transcended borders and reached a global audience through the live stream on the BASC International Relations Office’s Facebook Page! The pursuit of knowledge knows no boundaries, and Adamas University is at the forefront of breaking barriers and cultivating a global community of learners!

The Adamas Knowledge City campus sparkled with talent and enthusiasm as the 6th Bhavishya Jyoti Awards of Excellence took centre stage, organized by the Samit Ray Foundation. The event served as a platform to recognize and applaud the outstanding achievements of young trailblazers within the Adamas community.

The prestigious awards ceremony, attended by students, faculty, and distinguished guests, showcased the diverse talents that flourish within the Adamas University, Adamas International School, and Adamas World School. The event went beyond the traditional academic accolades, shining a spotlight on the students’ achievements in arts, sports, music, dance, and community service.

One of the highlights of the evening was the enchanting performance by the renowned singer, Somlata Acharya, whose soulful renditions added an extra layer of magic to the celebration. The audience was captivated by the melodious tunes that echoed through the campus, creating a memorable and immersive experience.

The Samit Ray Foundation, in its commitment to holistic development, extended its appreciation not only for academic brilliance but also for leadership qualities, communication skills, and social contributions. This approach acknowledges the importance of nurturing well-rounded individuals who contribute meaningfully to society.

The awards ceremony emphasized the foundation’s dedication to fostering a vibrant and dynamic educational community within the Adamas institutions. The 6th Bhavishya Jyoti Awards of Excellence marked another successful chapter in the ongoing journey of Adamas Knowledge City, underlining the commitment to nurturing holistic development and celebrating brilliance in all its diverse forms.

In a grand ceremony filled with pride and accomplishment, Adamas University celebrated its 7th Convocation, witnessing the graduation of over 1200 students who now embark on a new chapter in their academic and professional journeys.

The highlight of the event was the esteemed presence of Nobel Peace Laureate Hon’ble Kailash Satyarthi, whose inspiring words resonated with the graduating students. Satyarthi, known globally for his work in child rights and education, emphasized the crucial role of education in fostering social responsibility and creating positive change in society.

The atmosphere was charged with enthusiasm as the graduates, donned their academic regalia, and listened intently to Satyarthi’s insightful address. His call to action on the importance of education as a tool for societal transformation left an indelible mark on the hearts of all present.

A moment of immense honour and pride was the conferment of Honoris Causa degrees upon distinguished individuals who have made exemplary contributions to their respective fields. The recipients of these honorary degrees were Mr. C. N Raghupati, a stalwart in business and entrepreneurship; Mr. Gautam Ghose, a renowned filmmaker; Dr. Tarun Praharaj, a leading figure in the field of healthcare; and Ms. Minu Budhia, a trailblazer in education and social service. Each of these recipients symbolizes excellence and dedication, serving as inspirational figures for the graduating students.

Adding to the dignified aura of the event was the presence of Prof. VS Chauhan, former Chairman of the University Grants Commission (UGC) and the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). Prof. Chauhan’s extensive experience and insights into higher education further amplified the spirit of achievement and dedication that filled the convocation hall.

The convocation not only marked the end of an academic journey but also the beginning of a new phase for the graduates, who are now equipped with knowledge, skills, and a sense of responsibility to contribute meaningfully to society.

This collaboration encompasses a rich array of opportunities, including academic mobility, joint student internships, and the creation of engaging summer and winter camps for students from both institutions. In a splendid celebration of Founder’s Day, Adamas University organized Ekam, an event uniting students, faculty, and staff in a spirit of unity and festivity.

The festivities commenced with a parade featuring nominated students from all 10 schools of the university, weaving through the AWS (Adamas World School) field, Adamas Knowledge City, accompanied by the resonating melodies of the Ekam song. Ekam festivities at Adamas University span Tuesday to Thursday, featuring a literary extravaganza on January 9 and a sustainability exhibition on January 10. An intra-university sports meet was organised between January 8 and 10, 2024. The closing ceremony was held at AWS ground where the winners of Sports Meet and various other competitions were awarded.

On the evening of 11th January 2024 Adamas University, in collaboration with the Rice Group, organised a grand closing ceremony following the week-long celebration of Ekam at a city hotel The university felicitated some distinguished personalities with the Adamas Excellence Awards and Lifetime Achievement Awards who have made significant contributions to sports, healthcare, literature, and poetry. 

The event was graced by Sir Clive H. Lloyd, the renowned and former Guyanese cricketer who was bestowed with the Adamas Lifetime Achievement Award for his unparalleled contributions to the world of sports. Along with that, Dr. Sukumar Mukherjee, a renowned internal medicine specialist and rheumatologist; Shirshendu Mukhopadhyay, a renowned author; Joy Goswami, an eminent poet; and Snehasish Ganguly, President, of the Cricket Association of Bengal, enhanced the extravaganza of the evening with their presence.

Dr. Sukumar Mukherjee was bestowed with the Adamas Excellence Award for his remarkable achievements in the healthcare sector, whereas Shirshendu Mukhopadhyay was honoured with the same for his notable contributions to literature. Joy Goswami was conferred with the Adamas Excellence Award for his impactful work in the world of poetry and Snehasish Ganguly for his outstanding contributions to sports.

The star-studded affair also had an array of activities, including a soulful performance by renowned artist Sourendro-Soumyojit. Moreover, the university felicitated the Khelo India winners from Adamas University, showcasing the institution’s commitment to nurturing and recognising exceptional talent.

This ceremony marked a significant contribution to the festivities of Adamas University’s Founder’s Day, Ekam—a celebration of unity and festivity among students, faculty, and staff. This event is also celebrating the Hon’ble Founder and Chancellor of Adamas University Prof. (Dr.) Samit Ray four-decade legacy in the education field.

The campus of Adamas University was transformed into a festive wonderland as it hosted the Christmas Carnival 2023, a magical celebration that brought together students, faculty, and distinguished guests in a spirit of joy, unity, and compassion.

The grand event was inaugurated by Prof. (Dr.) Samit Ray, the Hon’ble Founder Chancellor of Adamas University. The highlight of the ceremony was the cutting of the largest Christmas court cake, a symbol of togetherness and shared happiness. The Founder Chancellor was joined by other eminent dignitaries, creating a moment that will be etched in the memories of everyone present.

The Christmas Carnival was a showcase of talent, with students from various disciplines presenting captivating performances that ranged from musical acts to energetic dance routines. The vibrant atmosphere was enhanced by the tunes of bagpipers and the lively steps of traditional Scottish dances, creating an enchanting experience for all attendees.

The true spirit of Christmas was not only felt in the festivities but also in the university’s commitment to making a positive impact on the community. Adamas University collaborated with Shuktara Cakes and the Hope Foundation India to procure cupcakes crafted with love and resilience by underprivileged and differently-abled children and adults.

Each bite of these delectable treats carries the flavour of hope, empowerment, and the promise of a brighter future for those who face unique challenges. The initiative not only added a sweet touch to the Christmas Carnival but also highlighted the importance of inclusivity and social responsibility.
