Day 2 of the weeklong Cultural Immersion cum Residential Training Programme for the Students and Staff Members from Samtse College of Education, Royal University of Bhutan under the inspirational leadership of Prof. (Dr.) Shauli Mukherjee, Professor & Dean-School of Education, Dean-International Relations, Adamas University began with a visit to the Adamas International School. Students and Staff Members of Samtse College of Education, Royal University of Bhutan gained insights into the contemporary pedagogy and learner centred education. Through interactive sessions with the staff members of the school and experiential learning opportunities, they explored innovative teaching strategies aimed at fostering critical thinking, creativity, and active student participation in the classroom. On returning to campus they underwent a vibrant and engaging session on guided personality development followed by glimpses of Indian Cinema, and finally had the scope to have an enthralling experience at Adamas Central Library.

Day 1 of the weeklong Cultural Immersion cum Residential Training Programme for the Students and Staff Members from Samtse College of Education, Royal University of Bhutan under the exemplary leadership and insightful guidance of Prof. (Dr.) Shauli Mukherjee, Professor & Dean-School of Education, Dean-International Relations, Adamas University began with Prashikshan Shetra– a grand inauguration to the week-long Residential Immersion Programme, setting the stage for a rewarding journey of professional growth, collaborative learning and cultural responsiveness. It marked the beginning of an enriching exchange of cultural practices and ideas, followed by thought provoking immersive sessions on Interpersonal Communication in Educational Settings and Intertwining of Artificial Intelligence with Contemporary Pedagogy. The students and staff members immersed themselves into the world of role-plays, collaborative work, group activities and rethinking education to pursue excellence through technology. The day ended with a guided Campus Tour around the lush green 120 acres campus of Adamas Knowledge City.

Adamas University takes immense pride in welcoming the Students and Staff Members from Samtse College of Education, Royal University of Bhutan for a Weeklong Cultural Immersion cum Residential Training Programme from 15th-20th June 2025 under the visionary leadership and guidance of Prof. (Dr.) Shauli Mukherjee, Professor & Dean-School of Education, Dean-International Relations, Adamas University. This programme aims to promote intercultural understanding among students from Samtse College of Education and Adamas University, and enhance their socio-emotional competencies through an enriching experiential learning. The staff members from Samtse College of Education will strengthen their professional competence by enhancing interpersonal leadership skills, engaging in effective team-building activities, adopting collaborative strategies, and deepening expertise in their respective fields.

We are delighted to announce that Mr. Debjit Ghosh, from the Department of Computer Science & Engineering, has been selected for the prestigious Centre for Engineering Education Excellence (CEEE) program at IIT Delhi, held from May 26 to June 7, 2025.
This esteemed initiative, jointly organized by INAE and the Infosys Foundation, and supported by AICTE, is designed to mentor engineering educators across India through direct interactions with top academic and industry leaders.
Mr. Ghosh stands out as the only participant from West Bengal, among a cohort of 46 distinguished faculty members selected nationwide. His participation marks a significant milestone for our institution and reinforces our commitment to academic excellence and innovation in teaching.

The weeklong parallel Residential Training Programmes on Laboratory and Library Practices for School Laboratory Assistants and School Librarians from Bhutan came to a meaningful close on 30 May 2025
Day 4 of the Residential Training Programmes for School Librarians and Laboratory Assistants from Bhutan featured a blend of innovation, sustainability, and skill development, under the initiative of the Ministry of Education and Skills Development, Royal Government of Bhutan.
The day began with a special visit to Adamas World School, where participants gained insights into integrated school learning environments and student-centric innovation.
Laboratory Assistants then explored innovation in school labs, green laboratory practices, and AR/VR-based content creation through interactive, hands-on sessions. Librarians participated in a game-based communication workshop, a brainstorming session on information literacy, and an interactive discussion on the evolving role of librarians in modern education.
Guided by the vision and leadership of Prof. (Dr.) Shauli Mukherjee, Dean – School of Education and Dean – International Relations, the day was a dynamic blend of forward-thinking skill-building and immersive academic engagement.

Day 3 of the parallel Residential Training Programmes on Laboratory and Library Practices for School Librarians and Laboratory Assistants from Bhutan, held under the Ministry of Education and Skills Development, Royal Government of Bhutan, offered a day of rich academic exposure.
School Librarians visited the School of Law and Justice Library at Adamas University, followed by insightful engagements at the British Council Library and the Asiatic Society Library, exploring legal knowledge systems, global resources, and archival legacies.
Laboratory Assistants explored innovation in the Geo-Informatics and Forensic Laboratories at Adamas University, and deepened their understanding of scientific research with visits to the Bose Institute and the S.N. Bose National Centre for Basic Sciences.
Led by Prof. (Dr.) Shauli Mukherjee, Dean – School of Education and Dean – International Relations, the day blended institutional learning with global perspectives.

Day 2 of the parallel Residential Training Programmes on Laboratory and Library Practices for School Laboratory Assistants and School Librarians from Bhutan, under the aegis of the Ministry of Education and Skills Development, Royal Government of Bhutan, unfolded as a vibrant mix of experiential learning and skill enhancement at Adamas Knowledge City.
Laboratory Assistants and School Librarians spent the day in skill-building sessions that combined technical training with innovative practices. While lab assistants focused on inventory management, effective communication, and solution preparation—culminating in hands-on lab work across Physics, Chemistry, and Biology—librarians explored makerspaces, digital copyright challenges, school library transformation, and automation tools to enhance access and engagement.

The weeklong parallel Residential Training Programmes on Laboratory and Library Practices for School Librarians and School Laboratory Assistants from the Kingdom of Bhutan commenced on 26th May 2025 at Adamas Knowledge City, Kolkata. Nominated by the Ministry of Education and Skills Development, Royal Government of Bhutan, the participating school professionals have been recognized for their dedication to advancing educational excellence in the region.
The inaugural session, SRIJAN, was formally inaugurated by Mr. Namgay Thinley, Hon’ble Trade Consul of Royal Bhutanese Consulate in Kolkata and Mr. Thupten Tshering, Hon’ble Health Attache of Royal Bhutanese Consulate in Kolkata, whose inspiring address marked a significant moment in fostering meaningful cross-border educational collaboration. The occasion was further graced by Prof. (Dr.) Suranjan Das, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor of Adamas University, whose thoughtful presence and address set an engaging and reflective tone for the programme.
Led by Prof. (Dr.) Shauli Mukherjee, Dean – School of Education and Dean – International Relations, the first day featured parallel hands-on sessions for school librarians and laboratory assistants. Librarians explored AI integration and modern cataloguing through interactive workshops, while lab assistants engaged in practical training on lab safety and virtual laboratory applications.
