It was yet another eventful and memorable day for RICE-ADAMAS Group today when Adamas University won the Best Private University 2017 award and RICE Education won Best Test Preparation Services 2017 at the ASSOCHAM Education Excellence Award 2017, from the hands of Honourable Minister of State for Human Resource Development Higher Education Mahendra Nath Pandey. Prof Samit Roy the Founder & Chairman Rice group and Chancellor Adamas University received the awards from the minister in the presence of who's who of the education Industry, ministry and media. ASSOCHAM, The Associated Chambers of Commerce & Industry India, conducted an elaborate day-long seminar at Hotel Hyatt Regency, Kolkata where the ever developing and important role of technology in education was discussed. Very interesting insights and cases were discussed throughout the day. The discussions and seminars were followed by the award ceremony and it was a grand success. We are happy and grateful to all our well wishers, patrons, students, parents who have kept faith in our group and helped us scale this success.
INFOCOM 2017 (an ABP initiative)-India's top business, technology and leadership meet was held at ITC Sonar Bangla, Kolkata from 7th to 9th December, 2017. It is organized to create an awareness about "The Digital Transformation" and why it is so essential for overall development. This years event dealt with the phenomenon of transformation through continuous and positive disruption.
Adamas University proudly celebrated the success of its first graduating batch of post-graduate students on March 8, 2018. The 1st Convocation Ceremony of Adamas University witnessed 39 of our students receiving their post-graduation degrees from Honâ€™ble Chief Guest Padma Shri - Professor Goverdhan Mehta, Chancellor of Adamas University - Professor Samit Ray, and Vice Chancellor of Adamas University - Professor Madhusudan Chakraborty.
On November 25th, Adamas University presented Times Litfest, Kolkata, a literary extravaganza at the Tolly Club, which was a confluence of the thoughts, ideas and views of celebrated writers from across the world such as Ruskin Bond, Jogen Chaudhury, Shobhaa De, Mani Shankar Mukherjee, Shirshendu Mukherjee and other eminent personalities such as ace cricketer and former Indian captain Sourav Ganguly, National award winning musician Anupam Ray etc. Our Honorable Chancellor Professor Samit Ray, inaugurated the event.

Adamas University hosted its 1st International Conference on Current Trends in Higher Education on the 13th of January. The conference was inaugurated by Sri Partha Chatterjee, Honâ€™ble Minister in Charge, Department of Education, Parliamentary Affairs, Science & Technology and Biotechnology, Govt of West Bengal and attended by other eminent dignitaries such as Sri Nirmal Ghosh, Chief Whip and Honble Memebr of Legislative Assembly, West Bengal, Sri Rathin Ghosh, Honble Memebr of Legislative Assembly, West Bengal.
December 21st was a special day for ADAMAS University as it marked a stupendous seminar and student interaction by two revered scholars, Professor Biswapriya Sanyal from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and Professor Diane E Davis from Harvard University. The enlightening exchange of ideas with the academic team and students at Adamas University was one to treasure.
