WIDER OBJECTIVE
The wider objective of the project is to contribute to and support the internationalization process in India through building of a framework of comparable, compatible and transparent degree programmes.
SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES
The project is aimed to achieve the following specific objectives:

  • To apply the Tuning methodology in Indian universities in four subject areas – Law, ICT, Medicine and Teacher Education.
  • To develop Tuning Meta-Profiles in four subject areas.
  • To develop, implement, monitor and improve degree programmes.
  • To promote sub regional and international cooperation between India and EU universities.

Key objective: to share practice and explore innovations in student placements, enterprise and engagement with the wider business community.

Key objective: to share practice in internationalisation pedagogy and engagement with international partners.

KP3  TEACHER TRAINING

Key objective: comparative exploration of curriculum development and quality assurance processes in primary school education. 

KP4  STAFF DEVELOPMENT

Key objective: to share best practice in the professional development of staff.

KP5 ENGLISH LITERATURE AND CREATIVE WRITING

Key objective: teaching exchange, teaching and learning pedagogy and identify areas for comparative research collaboration with a focus on transnational creativity and post-colonial literature.

KP6 QUALITY ASSURANCE PROCESSES

Key Objective: to share best practice in quality assurance policies and procedures in support of development of schools (i.e., programme approval, benchmarking standards of curriculum, programme handbooks, learning outcomes, monitoring and evaluation, student evaluation, engagement with student union, periodic reviews).

GENERAL AIM/WIDER OBJECTIVE
Contribute to modernization of Indian Higher Education through equipping Indian Higher Education Institutions with procedures, tools, human resources and continuous professional development mechanisms necessary for Curriculum Internationalisation and creating institution-wide thriving cultures of Internationalisation-FOR-ALL.

SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES (SOs)
SOs are complementary and reinforce each other in achieving the Wider Objective.

  1. Create mechanisms, procedures and tools which can engage all Indian RISHII Partner Institutions in Strategic Planning for Modernization through continuous Curriculum Internationalisation.
  2. Promote Curriculum Internationalisation through adoption of competence-based student-centred principles in (a) curriculum and syllabus design, (b) teaching, learning and assessment approaches.
  3. Equip Indian faculty and non-academic staff involved in internationalisation with skills, knowledge, and attitudes necessary to achieve Internationalisation-FOR-ALL.
  4. Create Open Education Resources that will encourage and make it feasible for all Indian Higher Education Institutions to engage in Strategic Planning and Continuous Professional Development activities for Curriculum Internationalisation -FOR-ALL.

  • what Curriculum Internationalisation is (and what it is not);
  • benefits and challenges of Curriculum Internationalisation, Internationalisation-FOR-ALL;
  • Curriculum Internationalisation and Competence-Based student-centred HE;
  • Curriculum Internationalisation and employability;
  • Curriculum Internationalisation and global citizenship;
  • agents of Curriculum Internationalisation and their roles.

SL2- PROFILES OF GLOBAL PROFESSIONALS AND CITIZENS
