Dr. Indranil Bose

Dr. Indranil Bose, a Fellow of the prestigious Higher Education Academy, UK (FHEA, UK), has worked in different senior academic and leadership capacities in India and abroad. Apart from being the Dean, Programme Head and Course leader of the several prestigious UK and US based international universities, he has also taught as senior full time faculty with the graduate and Masters programmes of the University of Wolverhampton, UK and University of Bolton at their UAE based international operations. As adjunct faculty, he has taught with the EMFS courses for the international graduate programs on Business of the University of London, UK, international online MBA programmes of the several UK based universities like University of Lincoln, University of West of England, Leeds Business School under the Leeds Beckett University, Buckinghamshire New University.

He has also taught in adjunct capacities with the AACSB accredited Post Graduate Curriculum at S P Jain School of Global Management-Dubai, Kingdom University Bahrain,  IMT Dubai, Birla Institute of Technology Mesra UAE campus, Woxsen University Hyderabad India, Jaipuria Institute of Management India. He is on the advisory panel of the several universities in India for their PhD research programmes such as the Dayananda Sagar University Bangalore, Symbiosis International University Pune, I K Gujral Punjab Technical University Jalandhar, Ganpat University Gujarat, VIT University Vellore, Bharatidarshan University Chennai, IEM University Kolkata, Vidyasagar University West Bengal, ESSEC Business School  (for DBA programme) at their Singapore campus. 

Dr. Indranil has the experience of teaching diverse students groups pursuing their vocational business management curriculum from level 4 to level 7 under different UK based awarding bodies such as Pearson, ATHE, Eduqual, IAAP  etc., which are approved by OfQual (Office of Qualification, Government of UK). In India, he has taught with the university and other autonomous programmes at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels on business management. His teaching expertise lies in Research Methods, Strategy, HRM and employee relations, workforce modelling etc. He has proven record of research and publications in peer reviewed journals, listed with ABDC (Australian Business Deans’ Council) and indexed with Web of Science, Thomson Reuter index, Thomson Reuter Book index, SCOPUS (Elsevier), EBSCO host, JSTOR and ProQuest databases etc. He is also on the panel of reviewers with the Inderscience Publications UK, Sage publications UK and India, Emerald Publications erc. He is also the member of the international advisory council of the Harvard Business Review since January, 2020.

He has been nominated as the honourary country director of the IHET&LA (HETL )UK and the Higher Education Advisor-Confederation of Management Professionals India (CMPI). He has also presented his research works at several international and national academic conferences in many countries. He is also empaneled as Occasional Reviewer and Editor with internationally acclaimed organizations, including Routledge Publishing, Sage publications and Inderscience Publishers, UK. He has been  conferred with several national and international awards and accolades such as Turn-it-in Global Innovation Honourable Mention (Writing with integrity) for Africa and Middle East (2017) , ‘Dewang Mehta Best Professor Award in General Management , India (2012) and MTC Global Distinguished Teacher Award , India (2016), ‘Best Curriculum Design and Assessment Plan Award (2019) by the Northern Consortium of UK universities (NCUK)’, ‘’Best Professor Award (2021)’ by the IBS Dehradun under the ICFAI University etc. He has also significantly contributed through different funded projects in UAE.

He regularly updates himself on the contemporary teaching and learning practices in professional and higher education through different self-development initiatives and has attended several FDPs and professional development programmes, offered by the prestigious institutions, universities and awarding bodies. Since January 2022, he has been nominated as the Country Director-UAE with the International Higher Education Teaching and Learning Association, UK.. Till March 2022, he has spoken to the participants of several universities, institutions of higher learning, B-Schools and professional associations of more than countries as invited speaker, guest lecturer, key note speaker, panel member in workshops etc. He has also chaired sessions on HR, Sustainability and Entrepreneurship at several international conferences held at India, UAE, Bahrain, UK, Spain, Hong Kong and Malaysia. As an expert member of CIPD, SHRM and International Academic Development Research Centre (IADRC), he has significantly contributed to the curriculum design and mapping, assessment planning etc in the areas of HR, Teaching and Learning in Professional and Higher Education etc. 

He is passionate about Executive Management Education; Academic planning and leadership; Curriculum planning, designing and approvals as per the international [The Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education (QAA) UK, The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB), European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD, The Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP)] and national accreditation (NBA, NAAC), awarding and approval bodies such as the Office of Qualifications and Examinations Regulation (Ofqual) UK, The Higher Learning Commission (HLC) USA, Ministry of Higher Education (MOE) UAE, AICTE India, UGC India], Academic course mapping with the professional qualifications; Academic delivery and assessment as per international and national quality standards; Academic research and professional consulting in the areas of Human Resource Strategic interventions, Academic Research and publications, Online/Distance Education management & Delivery, Speaking at the International and National Sessions on the issues related to workforce modelling, technology enabled HR, Applications of HR Analytics, Employee Relations, Teaching and Learning in Higher and Professional Education, Research supervision and guidance, Reviewing the research work submitted with acclaimed publications etc.

In his present role at the Adamas University, Kolkata, he has been assigned the responsibilities to advise and coordinate with the Chancellor’s office on –    Framing and implementing quality policy of the academic curriculum, academic delivery,

mapping of the entire system of academic curriculum, assessment strategy in accordance with the international quality systems and accreditation processes, capacity building of the academic staffs in line with the policy and strategy formulation and  implementation of the centre for teaching and learning and faculty excellence, planning and advising the office of the chancellor on different key deliverables in the areas of academic practice excellence, internationalization and collaborations for continuous transformation, National and international accreditation related policy and strategy making with the concerned school heads etc. He will also be involved in academic and research collaborations with prestigious universities and institutions from India and abroad. He is also engaged in teaching of the business students of the post-graduate and above levels.
