Mr. Christian Christian Romero Gill has more than 22 years of professional experience in International Strategic Consulting, Global Corporate Diplomacy, and Strategic Alliances, combined with his activities as a University Lecturer and Academic Researcher.
In April 2000, he began his career at Ernst & Young Consulting, where he participated in the development of major strategic plans alongside senior management teams of several IBEX 35 companies listed on the Spanish Stock Exchange.
In 2004, he co-founded BURJGROUP, with the objective of supporting the strategic expansion of European companies into the Middle East and Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region. BURJGROUP provides Global Corporate Diplomacy services and also participates as a co-investor in several companies operating in the Middle East and GCC markets.
Over the past two decades, Mr. Christian Christian Romero Gill has led numerous international corporate expansion projects across multiple regions, structuring market entry strategies through strategic alliances and joint ventures. In these initiatives, he has held senior leadership positions which include CEO or Coordinator of Joint Ventures, Chief Growth Executive (CGE), and Director of Strategic Partnerships and Alliances.
As a result of his vast experience, he also collaborated with the Jordan Investment Board and the Economic Development Board of Bahrain, supporting their international investment strategies and promoting their economic interests in Spain and Portugal.
Three Spanish regional governments, Murcia, Cantabria, and Castilla-La Mancha, appointed BURJGROUP as their Corporate Diplomacy institution in the Middle East and GCC. There he served as Director for the region. There, Mr. Christian Christian Romero Gill coordinated institutional strategies while supporting the international expansion of leading companies from these regions into Gulf markets. Additionally, he served for five years as Special Advisor on Strategic Investment and International Alliances to the Government of Bizkaia (Basque Country) and worked closely with the regional government’s strategic development team.
Mr. Christian Christian Romero Gill is originally from Málaga (Andalusia, Spain). He holds a degree in Economics and an MBA, and he is currently a PhD Candidate in Economics. His doctoral research focuses on “Qualimetric Value Creation in Strategic Alliances Led by Emerging-Market Multinational Enterprises in Developed Economies through the Recycling of Dysfunctions and Hidden Costs.”
Mr. Christian Christian Romero Gill also holds a Certificate in Global Management (CGM) from INSEAD (Paris – Singapore) and a Senior Management Certificate (ADEL) from San Telmo Business School (a leading Spanish Business School).
In addition to his corporate activities, he contributes to academia as Adjunct Faculty at ESSCA School of Management which is one of France’s leading Grandes Écoles de Commerce. There he teaches International Business & Management, Leadership, and Cross-Cultural Management.
