A distinguished gathering in Haldia marked the 77th Birth Anniversary of Dr. Lakshman Chandra Seth, honouring his lasting contributions.

On this occasion, Prof. (Dr.) Samit Ray, Founder Chancellor, Adamas University and Founder Chairman, RICE Group, was conferred with the ICARE Lifetime Achievement Award 2026 for his exceptional contribution to education.

The ceremony was graced by Shri Biplab Roy Chowdhury, Hon’ble Minister, Department of Fisheries, Aquaculture, Aquatic Resources and Fishing Harbour, Government of West Bengal; Sardar Taranjit Singh, Chairman cum Managing Director, JIS Group of Institutions; Shri Nalini Bera, Writer & Novelist; and Shri Ranjan Bandyopadhyay, Bengali Writer.
