Adamas University hosted a delegation from the University of Sussex, UK, on 7th January 2025, in a significant initiative led by Prof. (Dr.) Shauli Mukherjee, Professor and Dean- School of Education and Dean- International Relations. The event highlighted the university’s commitment to advancing global academic collaborations and internationalization.

The day featured a thought-provoking lecture on “Decolonizing Biosciences Curriculum” by Prof. Zahid Pranjol, Professor of Biomedical Science Education at the University of Sussex, UK. Faculty, researchers, and students engaged in enriching discussions on the future of biosciences education.

Isobel Hussey, International Officer, University of Sussex, UK, also conducted a counselling session for students, guiding them on pursuing higher education abroad.

The event culminated with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between Adamas University and the University of Sussex, UK. The signing was done by Hon'ble Chancelor Prof. (Dr.) Samit Ray in the presence of Hon'ble Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Suranjan Das and Prof. (Dr.) Shauli Mukherjee, Professor and Dean- School of Education and Dean- International Relations. preformalizing a partnership to further academic exchanges, collaborative research, and joint initiatives.
