Dr. Rajat Ray
Registrar (Acting), Adamas University
Dr. Rajat Ray brings over three decades of distinguished experience as an academician and administrator in higher education. He currently serves as the Dean of Students and Cultural Affairs, Joint Registrar and Registrar (Acting) at Adamas University, operating from the Adamas Knowledge City campus.
A gold medalist in both Diploma and M.Phil. programs, Dr. Ray holds Master’s, M.Phil., and Doctoral degrees in Physical Education. His academic expertise lies in Exercise Physiology, Yoga, Mental Health, Student Administration, and University Statutory Functioning.
Dr. Ray began his career as a faculty member at Dayanand College, Ajmer (Rajasthan), and LNCPE, SAI, Thiruvananthapuram, where he taught as Lecturer and Senior Lecturer in UGC scale for eight years. His transition into academic administration saw him serve as Sports Officer at the University of Calcutta and Director of Youth Welfare at Jadavpur University for a combined duration of five years. For nearly two decades, he held the position of Dean of Students at Jadavpur University, making a lasting impact on student development and institutional growth.
Passionate about wellness and holistic living, Dr. Ray actively engages in yoga, trekking, and exploring cultural and tourist destinations. His extensive experience, academic achievements, and dedication to student welfare position him as a valuable leader at Adamas University.

Dr. Koushik Chakraborty
Deputy Registrar
Dr. Koushik Chakraborty is an accomplished academic administrator and higher education professional with over 16 years of experience in university governance, academic administration, human resource management, regulatory compliance, accreditation, and institutional development. He currently serves as Deputy Registrar at Adamas University, Kolkata, where he oversees academic governance, statutory compliance, accreditation initiatives, institutional rankings, policy implementation, faculty affairs, and HR-related administrative processes.
His areas of expertise include UGC regulations, NAAC accreditation, NIRF rankings, AISHE reporting, UGC 12(B) status, UGC-DEB compliance, faculty recruitment and onboarding processes, performance management systems, and compliance with statutory and professional regulatory bodies such as AICTE, PCI, ICAR, BCI, and NCTE. He has played a pivotal role in strengthening institutional quality assurance mechanisms, academic governance frameworks, and human resource practices aligned with national regulatory standards and higher education best practices.
Prior to his administrative leadership roles, Dr. Chakraborty served as an Associate Professor and held key academic positions including Associate Dean and Head of Department, contributing significantly to teaching, research, curriculum development, faculty mentoring, and academic planning.
Dr. Chakraborty holds a Ph.D. in Image Processing and an M.Tech. in Electronics and Communication Engineering. He has made significant scholarly contributions through 36 research publications, including 20 papers indexed in Scopus, four published patents, and several books and book chapters. His professional endeavors are driven by a strong commitment to academic excellence, institutional growth, quality assurance, human resource development, and innovation in higher education.
