WHAT IS MODEL UNITED NATIONS?
Model United Nations (MUN) is an academic simulation of the United Nations and other political bodies where students act as delegates of countries or parties. Delegates debate real global and national issues, draft resolutions and bills, negotiate, and practice diplomacy, public speaking, and research skills. Participants are assigned a country, political party, or stakeholder and represent its views in a committee. The aim is to find solutions through discussion, negotiation and consensus, just like in real-world diplomacy or parliament.
