The admission of the candidate of the Ph.D. programme is governed by Regulations for the Registration and Award of the Degree of Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) of Adamas University, 2017, which is based on UGC regulations, 2016
ABOUT THE PROGRAMME
Adamas University (AU) awards the degree of Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) to a candidate who has successfully completed the stipulated Programme of Research. The candidates will be required to undergo Ph.D. / PG level course work as per UGC rules prior to registration.
ADMISSION TO Ph.D. PROGRAMME
Admission is granted on the basis of Research Entrance Test (RET) for admission to Ph.D. program. RET will be conducted through a written test followed by interview. At the time of interview, the candidates are expected to discuss their research interest / area. Candidates whose selection is approved by the Vice Chancellor on the recommendation of Research Committee (RC) will be admitted to the Ph.D. Programme of the AU after the payment of the prescribed fees.

WRITTEN EXAMINATION AND INTERVIEW:
The Examination & Interviews will be conducted online.
- The Examination will start at 10:30 a.m. onwards.
- The Examination will be of Two hours
- The Examination will test candidates’ research aptitude and knowledge in the relevant
- The candidates, who are eligible to appear in the Interview, are to contact the respective department, the detail will be informed.
Note: –Candidates who have qualified in UGC NET / CSIR (JRF) Examination / SLET / GATE are exempted from the Written Test.
ELIGIBILITY
All candidates seeking admission to the PhD program shall have to possess the requisite marks / grades in qualifying examination as indicated below:
Master’s Degree or equivalent as approved by Association of Indian Universities (AIU) in Arts, Science, Commerce, Engineering, Technology or any other discipline.
Graduate in Professional courses recognized by law, such as, Medical, Law, Chartered Accountancy, Cost Accountancy, Company Secretary, etc. with good academic record and having aptitude for research.
The minimum marks for Humanity is 55% and for others is 60% or equivalent grade.
N.B. Considering the unpredictability of these present times, the University may, at its sole discretion, modify the above-stated Guidelines of entrance and eligibility, with or without notice to the Applicant. Any such modification will be effective immediately upon public posting. The continuance of the Applicant in proceeding with Application, following any such modification, constitutes the Applicant’s acceptance of these modified Terms.
