Adamas University participated in the 11th edition of the Jefferson Debates, 2024 at the American Center Kolkata hosted by the U.S. Consulate Kolkata on 18th November 2024. This participation in this prestigious event was the result of a continued collaborative partnership between the American Center Kolkata and the International Relations Office of Adamas University, under the initiative and leadership of Prof. (Dr.) Shauli Mukherjee, Dean – International Relations. A team of three students from Adamas University (2 speakers and 1 researcher) participated in the debate which had the topic of motion, “Is increased military cooperation between the U.S. and India vital for maintaining regional stability in Asia?” This participation provided the students of Adamas University with knowledge in their relevant field of study as well as in the skills of debating and teamwork.
