Adamas University Joins India’s National Quantum Mission Network with ASTRA-Q Initiative

Adamas University has entered the elite circle of quantum computing research in India as a member of the National Quantum Mission (NQM) network.

Prof. (Dr.)Samit Ray, Chancellor of Adamas University, and Professor Suranjan Das, Vice Chancellor of Adamas University were present for the event.

At the NQM event held today at IIT Powai, the project titled “ASTRA-Q: Astronomical and Space Weather Tracking with Quantum Artificial Intelligence”—led by IIT Indore in collaboration with ADAMAS University, University of Calcutta, TCG Crest, and other reputed institutions—was officially announced.

This initiative aims to advance critical space applications for the country by leveraging accelerated Quantum Machine Learning engines, marking a significant step toward next-generation scientific and technological capabilities in India.
